About the opportunity

The Production Lead will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our commercial operations. Reporting directly to the site coordinator, this role involves overseeing our supported employes during the production process, ensuring quality standards are met, and continuously improving processes to enhance productivity. This opportunity is a fixed-term full time position for 6 months, with the possibility of becoming permanent

More specifically, as a Production Lead you will:

  • Supervise and lead supported employees during the production process through providing guidance, support, and training to team members, while fostering a positive and productive work environment 
  • Schedule and coordinate production activities, ensuring that production targets and deadlines are met, and resources are allocated effectively
  • Enforce quality control measures and standards to guarantee that all products meet or exceed quality requirements 
  • Oversee and manage inventory levels, ensuring that raw materials and finished products are well-organized and accurate records are maintained. 
  • Enforce safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a secure working environment for all production workers
  • Address production issues and disruptions promptly and effectively, finding solutions to minimize downtime
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, implement best practices, and lead initiatives to enhance production efficiency 

This is a 6 month Fixed Term Full -Time position based at Ipswich

About you: 

To be successful in this role, we are looking for an individual which obtains the following qualities:

  • Proven experience in a production leadership role or related field
  • Hold a current Forklift licence (Preferred not required)
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and quality control procedures 
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles is a plus
