About Inner Focus Psychology
Inner Focus Psychology is a small clinical psychology practice based in Northcote, nestled under Aesara Health, a multi-disciplinary holistic and allied health practice.
The vision of Inner Focus is to provide effective, deep-acting therapy to clients in the community, that goes beyond standard CBT.
Guidance will be offered as required, however psychologists work autonomously and independently, with full control over their client bookings, breaks, and leave.
The practice manager (Alice Crole) is a clinical psychologist, ISTDP-accredited therapist, supervisor, and university-qualified naturopath.
Inner Focus typically attracts motivated and self-aware clients who are generally lovely to work with Common presenting complaints include: Anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, adjustment issues, relationship and communication problems, and past trauma.
About You
Inner Focus is seeking a motivated, committed, and personable psychologist, ideally with an interest to learn and practice beyond CBT/ACT-based models.
An interest in holistic mental health, ISTDP, emotion-focused therapy, schema therapy, or relationship counselling would be a great fit for this clinic; we often receive referrals from clients who have tried CBT and are looking for a deeper-acting therapy.
If you are seeking some variation, there may be opportunities to prepare VOCAT and forensic assessment reports for clients attending court (under guidance initially if required), although this is by no means a requirement to join Inner Focus.
The Premises
Inner Focus is co-located at 2A Elm Street in Northcote, with a multidisciplinary health clinic, Aesara Health (co-founded by the Inner Focus director). The clinic is freshly renovated with the aim to help clients feel at ease and in good hands as they enter the front door.

Psychology-Specific Features
- Guidance with commencing private practice as required (e.g. obtaining Medicare provider no., GP letter templates)
- Administration: The practice manager will take new referral calls, respond to general enquiries, process pays weekly
- Marketing: The practice manager will add your bio and profile picture to the website and promote your services to generate referrals
- Stationary: Essentials will be provided onsite (pens, manila folders, writing pads)
- As with most other private practices, IFP operates on a commission-based structure at a highly competitive split rate
