Sydney Water have partnered with Delivering 4 Customers (D4C) to deliver; design, construct, maintenance and facilities management services as part of the P4S program in Sydney Water's Southern Region of Sydney.

D4C is a consortium comprising of John Holland, Service Stream, and WSP. We will provide long term employment opportunities to diversify the skills of the people of the southern region of Sydney as well as creating pathways to enter the water industry.

D4C is seeking a Project Engineer to join their expanding team to deliver excellence in the Treatment program of works.

Role Overview

This role will be an integral part of the project team owning the outcome for construction delivery of their projects. The role will focus on Cronulla Treatment Plant including the upgrade of mechanical, electrical, civil and process related assets on existing brownfield operating Wastewater Treatment Plants.

These works involve working with the respective plant team to ensure continued plant operations in conjunction with the construction. The work includes but is not limited to:

  1. Inlet works
  2. PST renewals
  3. Dewatering upgrades
  4. Ventilation
  5. Odour control
  6. Clarifier refurbishment
  7. Cogen upgrades
Key Responsibilities

As a Project Engineer, you'll be delivering projects and your day-to-day tasks will include but are not limited to:

  1. Supporting Construction Leads to ensure allocated projects are delivered to scope within time, cost, quality, and regulatory standards.
  2. Setting daily, weekly and long term project programs to achieve required project outputs with plant, labour, materials, and resources.
  3. Monitor and review costs, invoices, and claims for allocated projects.
  4. Contributing to the constructability of a project with respect to design development.
  5. Undertaking tender, evaluation, and award of subcontract procurement packages.
  6. Monitor the quality and quantities of incoming equipment and material against drawings and specifications and arrange corrections or modifications where necessary as per Inspection and Test Plans.
  7. Analyse and use document and record management, progress and project performance reporting compliance reporting.
  8. Demonstrate sound people management skills by managing work and performance of self-perform workforce and subcontractors to achieve outcomes.
  9. Liaise and coordinate with all external parties and relevant statutory authorities and manage their attendance on site as necessary.
Essential Requirements

Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Science, Building Construction, Construction Management or equivalent.

Minimum 2 years engineering experience.

Pre-contracts knowledge in relation to design, planning, and legislative requirements.

Demonstrated leadership in health, safety, quality and environmental management.

Client relationship and stakeholder management experience.

Highly competent with MS office.

Drivers licence and White card required.
