Job description:
THE ROLE
We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer with a strong background in Civil, Rail and/or Structures to join our Rail Maintenance team in Adelaide, South Australia on a permanent full-time basis.
The Rail Maintenance team are responsible for minor projects and maintenance works, from upgrading track and bridge renewals to installing concrete walls and modernizing train stations, platforms and station buildings.
You will play a critical role overseeing projects with various scopes, this will ensure you become a highly qualified, multi-disciplined engineer - helping to secure strong career progression.
- Oversee project work methods and performance and implement corrective actions for efficient utilisation of plant and labour
- Prepare project plans which include safety, quality and environmental considerations
- Investigate and support general engineering technical issues whilst identifying project risks and opportunities
- Assist with budget development, project forecasting and achieving financial targets
- Identification of plant, labour, material and subcontract resources
- Manage and lead personnel and prioritise work efficiently
Profile description:
ABOUT YOU
- Minimum degree qualification in Engineering
- Civil, Rail or Structures construction delivery experience on public infrastructure
- Problem solving ability for best project outcomes
- Understanding of scope & design requirements
- Well-developed verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer focus ensuring profitable repeat business
