Estimator Position: Estimator (Poly fabrication and construction)

Working across the mining, civil & water projects.

Responsibilities:

Site scoping
Identify & estimate resources (labour, equipment, materials) to provide accurate cost estimates
Draft & submit quotes and tenders
Collect and follow up on quotes from suppliers
Liaise with client & suppliers - keep informed
Issue PO’s to suppliers & coordinate delivery of materials & equipment
Track & Communicate status of ongoing works

Skills & Competency Requirements:

Experience in fabrication & civil construction (preferably Poly Welding within the mining, civil & water Industry)
Working knowledge of piping & civil estimation, quotation & tender preparation
Can carry out detailed and accurate material quantity take-offs to develop bills of quantities
Knowledge of pipe fitting, fabrication, welding, QA and installation processes
Able to read & interpret RFQ, scope of work and engineering drawings
Good communication skills and ability to liaise with clients and suppliers.
High Attention to detail, accuracy & confidentiality
Analytical, critical thinking and problem solving abilities
Easy to get along with and work well within a team environment
Able to pass a full medical / Drug and Alcohol Screen
