The Community Transport Company is a for-purpose social enterprise and large charity based on the North Coast of NSW. Role Description
This is a volunteer role for a Non Executive Director. The Non Executive Director will be responsible for contributing to the strategic direction and governance of the organization. Key responsibilities include guiding and supporting the management team, attending board meetings, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, providing oversight of financial management, and promoting the organization's mission and values. This is a hybrid role, located in Coffs Harbour, NSW, with flexibility for some remote work. Successful candidates can live and work elsewhere and participate in meetings and forums online.
Qualifications
- Experience in strategic planning and governance
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance
- Financial management and oversight skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
- Passion for social impact and community development
- Experience in the nonprofit sector is a plus
