Finance Associate- Accounts Receivable Officer

About Our Client
Our Client is a reputed brand based in Western Sydney, working as part of a small Finance team this is your opportunity to learn quickly and be part of a global brand with a significant presence in Australia and New Zealand.
Job Description
- Process customer payments and liaise with the customer service department when necessary.
- Review and create customer credit applications, including liaising with the Regional Manager, KAM, Sales Representatives, and Finance & Operations Manager on the process and applicable approval and credit limits.
- Follow up on any overdue accounts. Place overdue accounts on hold where necessary and release orders on hold if appropriate.
- Month-end and weekly reporting re overdue and credit limits, plus review of credit notes issued.
- Send out monthly debtor statements.
- Reconcile and monitor AR Subledger weekly and monthly.
- Calculation of quarterly Bad Debt provision
- Yearly Customer Credit Limit Review
- Bank Reconciliation, including the processing of some General Ledger Journals
- Assist the finance team with budgets, audits, and general month-end tasks.
- Work with other staff members to ensure deadlines and targets are achieved. (ie DSO)
- Comply with health and safety responsibilities, sales work practices, and procedures, and undertake training as required.
The Successful Applicant
- Higher School Certificate, Tertiary qualification and/or 5+ years' experience in the accounts receivable field are desirable.
- Previous experience in accounts receivable and other relevant accounting tasks.
- Good computer literacy, preferably with experience in Microsoft Excel and Word (will also be required to use in-house Ln system). Experience with large corporate ERP software is desirable.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Good numeracy and accuracy skills
- Good team player willing to take on extra duties if required.
