Exhibition Technician – Scitech

We are currently seeking a highly passionate and collaborative Exhibition Technician who will be responsible for assisting in the design, development, preparation, and installation of permanent, temporary, and travelling exhibitions.

This is a full-time permanent role that is open to a variety of trades including, machinists, fitters, cabinet makers, and fabricators.

In this role you will:

• Support the development and preparation of exhibitions through developing solutions to design problems.
• Assist with production and installation of exhibitions including exhibition space, preparation, construction, and painting.
• Assist with the deinstallation of exhibitions.
• Ensure correct documentation and record keeping.
• Identify maintenance requirements after regular inspections and work requests.
• Ensure maintenance and cleaning of workshop areas and equipment.
• Understudy senior team members and mentor Junior Team members.

• A willingness to learn new skills not normally associated with your base trade.
• A genuine interest in how things work and the scientific principles behind them.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Trade qualifications in either Mechanical fitting, Mechatronics, Electronics, Carpentry, Metal Fabrication or similar
• Minimum 2 years post trade experience.
• Drivers Licence
• National Police Clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Work Safely at Heights qualification is desirable
• Forklift license is desirable
