2 x Senior Legal Counsel Positions – ASX-listed Company

KBE Legal Talent has been briefed by an ASX-listed energy infrastructure company to secure two Senior Legal Counsels to support the business’ continued and significant growth in Western Australia and nationally.
Working closely with the Group Counsel, you will provide expert legal advice in relation to Native Title, cultural heritage, approvals, and related commercial matters.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing legal advice on Native Title, cultural heritage agreements, safety incidents, and project approvals.
- Managing and negotiating Indigenous Land Use Agreements and cultural heritage management plans.
- Delivering general legal support for project approvals, access agreements, and operational safety matters.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of best practices, policy positions, and precedent contracts.
- Advising senior management and overseeing external legal providers.
This position would suit a senior lawyer with 8+ years’ PAE in Native Title, cultural heritage, land access or approvals, gained either within a law firm or in-house.
Working closely with the Group Counsel, you will lead the company’s construction, infrastructure, and procurement legal function in Western Australia.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing legal advice on front-end construction for major projects and asset service agreements.
- Managing construction claims and disputes, including mediation, arbitration, and litigation.
- Supporting procurement processes for various business units.
- Implementing and overseeing precedent contracts, templates, and compliance programs.
- Managing relationships with external legal service providers.
We are interested in speaking with lawyers with 10+ years’ PAE across front-end construction, infrastructure, and projects, ideally with some exposure to related disputes.
