Are you ready to love what you do?

Howard Smith Wharves are looking for an HR Assistant who enjoys variety and is passionate about supporting our incredible HSW team. Working closely with our HR Business Partner, you will provide support in the recruitment and onboarding process. This part-time opportunity will provide approximately 25 - 30 hours per week with flexibility in the days.


Howard Smith Wharves has transformed one of our city’s most historical sites to be an ever-evolving dining and entertainment destination that brings this diversity of food, music and community together. Located beneath the Story Bridge, our waterfront home boasts 13 restaurants, cafes, bars, event spaces and a hotel. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Provide excellent candidate care and support throughout the end-to-end recruitment process.
  • Maintaining digital employee records.
  • Lead online learning completions.
  • Monitoring and attending to queries with the HR inbox in a timely manner.
  • Providing a full range of generalist HR administrative support.

  • Has strong attention to detail – you can spot the mistakes where others can’t.
  • A team player – you love collaborative environments but can also work independently when needed.
  • A strong communicator – you can clearly articulate your advice, ideas, and perspective both in person and in writing.
