We're seeking a motivated Finance Manager to play a key role in our company's financial success. You'll partner closely with the CFO/Head of Finance to oversee all aspects of the finance department and deliver insightful financial reporting that drives strategic decision-making. This position will be sitting within the reputable MCoBeaty.
What You'll Do:
- Be the captain of the finance team, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality financial processes.
- Navigate the month-end close with precision, guaranteeing accurate general ledger, reconciliations, and P&L statements.
- Analyze variances from budget and provide insightful commentary to management.
- Craft cash flow forecasts to ensure the company's financial well-being.
- Spearhead the preparation of annual statutory accounts and manage external audits.
- Manage tax compliance by submitting BAS, FBT, and GST returns, liaising with tax specialists as needed.
- Bridge the gap between the company and external auditors and banks.
- Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for the management team.
- Empower your team by providing guidance and fostering their professional growth.
- Continuously improve the company's financial performance by proposing and implementing strategic initiatives.

- A degreed accountant with a passion for accuracy and a strategic mindset.
- Possess (or actively pursue) a professional accounting qualification like CA or CPA.
- Boast at least 3 years of experience in a commercial accounting setting.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
- A financial reporting whiz with a solid understanding of tax principles.
- Communicate with clarity and confidence, both verbally and in writing.
- Comfortable interacting with senior stakeholders and navigating complex situations.
- A problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced environments, both independently and collaboratively.
- A detail-oriented professional with a knack for numbers.
- Adept in using budgeting, forecasting, and reporting tools.
- A technical wizard with advanced computer skills, including Excel and familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite experience a plus).
- Possess a keen understanding of business operations and financial acumen.
