Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Specialised Care: Utilise your expertise to assist clients with personal care, meal preparation, medication management, and community access, ensuring their holistic wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with Experts: Work closely with behaviour support practitioners, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, and other health specialists, contributing to comprehensive and effective support.
  • Promote Independence: Support clients in achieving their goals, whether these are related to education, employment, community engagement, or social skills, promoting their autonomy, confidence and holistic wellbeing.
  • Build Trusting Relationships: Develop strong, trust-based relationships with participants, delivering personalised and compassionate support tailored to their needs.

Requirements:

  • Proven Experience: Demonstrate a track record of excellence in disability support services, showcasing your skills and expertise in caring for individuals with diverse needs.
  • Qualifications: Hold a Certificate III or higher qualification in Disability Support or a related field, demonstrating your commitment to professional development.
  • Specialised Knowledge: Experience in challenging behaviour and complex needs is highly valued, highlighting your ability to provide targeted support to clients with specific requirements.
  • Certifications: Maintain current certifications, including National Police Records Check, NDIS Workers Screening Check, Working with Children Check, First Aid, and CPR Certificate, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
