Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Penetration Tester to join our cybersecurity team based in Sydney, NSW, Australia. The role is primarily remote but will require occasional on-site work. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and security audits on client systems.
  • Identify and exploit vulnerabilities to simulate real-world cyberattacks and assess their impact.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their specific security requirements and objectives.
  • Provide detailed and actionable reports outlining vulnerabilities, risks, and recommended remediation strategies.
  • Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, tools, and techniques.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of internal penetration testing methodologies and tools.
  • Work closely with the security team to design and implement security solutions for clients.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to clients in remediating identified vulnerabilities.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Penetration Tester or in a similar cybersecurity role.
  • Strong knowledge of common security frameworks and standards (e.g., OWASP, NIST, CIS).
  • Proficiency in using penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, Wireshark, etc.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems, networking protocols, and cloud environments.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP)) are a plus.
