Contract Administrator - Western Australia

The Position: 
RSGx are currently seeking a Contract Administrator (preferably with a Quantity Surveying qualification) to become apart of our success, providing your cost control and contract administration expertise across a portfolio of existing and future projects in our Western Australian operations.

You will be enthusiastic and motivated in making a difference, seamlessly communicating to the business with highly developed verbal and written communication skills – you can be in the detail one minute and strategizing against the bigger picture, the next.

Key duties will include:
 

  • working closely with project managers to manage the commercial success of our projects
  • preparing budgets and forecasts, weekly/ monthly reports – cost to date/ cost to complete
  • preparing budget reconciliations (matching estimate details with scope of works for self-perform works and subcontracted packages), preparing contracts for subcontracted packages
  • setting the estimate up in the cost system
  • allocating budget to contract schedule line items according to the WBS structure
  • performing day to day cost control – utilising costs and cost codes in cost control system
  • preparing payment claims, monitoring payments and cashflow (forecasting)
  • implementing disciplined change controls – through notifications/ quantifications
  • monitoring end to end resolution of change, reporting
  • carrying out forecast variance Analysis
  • providing ‘Accounts Payable’ support
  • implementing cost reviews with our clients
  • preparing client reports
  • claims management and dispute resolution
  • final account negotiations / closeout
 
The Person: 
As the successful candidate you will have:

Essential:

  • have Suitable qualifications in quantity surveying, contract management or some other related discipline
  • have broad experience in the construction sector which may include development appraisals, pre-contracts, project delivery, construction accounting, claims management/ final account closeout
  • have experience with Project Controls - Cost of Scheduling, and Cost Controls disciplines (incl P6)
  • have expertise in the use of the Microsoft Suite, Procore, JDE and equivalent platforms
  • have a collaborative communication style that attracts respect
  • be a team player, but with the ability to take the initiative and work autonomously
  • be self-motivated and driven, taking ownership of the issues and the outcomes
  • energy, passion and drive for what you do
  • resilience and an irrepressible smile
