Employment Type: Full Time, Fixed Term, Senior Leadership Position for the 5 year contract period.
There is a permanent substantive teaching position attached to this role.

Salary Range: AP1-AP3 - $141,166 to $148,100 commensurate with experience

About the Role

The Assistant Principal – Administration, as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, has a leadership role within the school community providinggeneral leadership in support of the Principal in the achievement of the acknowledged mission and goals of the community. Additionally, the Assistant Principal – Administration provides specific leadership in those areas delegated by the Principal, showing a high level of leadership, professionalism, competence, proficiency and organisation.

Mandatory Qualifications and Requirements

• Participation in and commitment to the sacramental life of the Catholic Church.
• Understanding and commitment to education in the Catholic tradition.
• Postgraduate (Master level) qualifications in Education and/or Religion as per Queensland Catholic Education Commission Position Statement for Senior Leadership Positions in Catholic Schools in Queensland.
• Leadership experience:
  • Demonstrated ability in religious and education leadership.
  • Demonstrated administrative ability.
  • Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships.
• Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary educational issues at state and national levels with particular reference to Religious Education.
• Demonstrated commitment to the Pastoral Care of members of the school community.
• Skills for building community including facilitation, delegation and consultation.
• Registered or eligible to register with Queensland College of Teachers.
• Promote child safety at all times.
• Current drivers’ license.
• A strong demonstrated commitment to the objectives, vision and ethos of Catholic Education.

Eligibility Requirements

• Be a committed, practicing Catholic.
• Professional qualifications in Education and Religion as perQueensland Catholic Education Commission Position Statement for Senior Leadership Positions in Catholic Schools in Queensland
• Hold or be eligible to hold, registration as a teacher in Queensland.
• Have administrative and/or leadership experience.
