Worx Equipment is a family-owned and operated company that has been successfully forging its place in the heavy earthmoving equipment rental sector since its inception in 2018.

Worx Equipment supplies the rental of heavy earthmoving equipment and specialised maintenance services throughout Western Australia. Through the provision of professional, skilled workmanship with a priority on safety, we provide our clients with reliable equipment and high-quality maintenance services, which combine to create long-term value for our clients. 

About the role:

This is a newly created position reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director. As Finance Manager, you will be part of the senior management team with responsibility for the accounting and finance operations of Worx Equipment. This is a hands-on role in which the successful applicant can play a significant role in the growth and development of the business.

 Responsibilities of the role:

  • Preparation of budgets, balance sheet reconciliations and monthly / quarterly three-way forecasts.
  • Processing accruals and finalising month end and year end accounts.
  • Daily cashflow reporting and forecasting.
  • Ensure the integrity of the profit and loss statement.
  • Timely preparation of Payroll tax & BAS submissions.
  • Communication and coordination of information with the groups financiers.
  • Effective management of accounts receivable and payable functions.
  • Management of all audit processes.
  • Maintain asset registers, loan and depreciation schedules.
  • Preparation and presentation for capital expenditure finance.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and performance metrics to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and internal policies.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • Full membership of a professional accounting body (CA / CPA).
  • Significant experience in management accounting, financial analysis, reporting, budgeting and three-way forecasting.
  • Good time management and work prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, working accurately with attention to detail, and meeting deadlines.
  • Highly experienced using Microsoft Suite and accounting software.
  • Good Microsoft Excel skills together with a keen interest in development of business computer systems.
