Downer is seeking a seasoned Contract Manager for Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) to ensure top-notch facilities management and service delivery in a critical healthcare setting. As a key member of our management team, the Contract Manager will report directly to the Senior Director of Operations and will be responsible for both strategic and operational oversight of facilities services. This role is pivotal in maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and functionality to support exceptional patient care and operational excellence.

Position Purpose
Downer is seeking an experienced Contract Manager for the Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) to lead our facilities management division. This role is pivotal in maintaining high-quality service delivery and operational excellence within a healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the financial and budget management of large service operations, particularly in health facility contexts.
Develop and maintain senior stakeholder relationships and foster organisational growth.
Manage collaborative environments effectively, ensuring that performance-based contracts meet all agreed key performance indicators.
Build strong partnerships with government departments, major subcontractors, and suppliers.
Implement and manage robust governance systems to streamline operations and enhance service delivery.
About You
You are a seasoned leader with:
Proven experience in a leadership role within a large services organisation, preferably in a healthcare facility, with PPP experience and an engineering background.
Strong capabilities in financial management, facilities management, and developing senior stakeholder relationships.
Demonstrated ability in fostering organisational growth and working effectively with government and outsourced contracting.
Expertise in strategic and business planning, with exceptional communication and presentation skills.
Knowledge of WHS and industrial relations legislation, and commercial contract management.
A proven track record of team leadership, with the ability to motivate teams and build a high-performing culture.
Personal Attributes:
High integrity, superior client service attitude, and a customer-centric service mindset.
Excellent organisational skills, structured approach, and the ability to delegate and monitor work effectively.
Strong initiative, resilience in overcoming challenges, and the capacity to influence and inspire others.
