Luxaviation is currently seeking a suitably qualified person to fill a vacancy within the IT Department, based at Mascot NSW.

Reporting to the IT Manager (ITM) Asia Pacific, the IT Support Officer (ITSM) for Asia Pacific is responsible and accountable for user support across the APAC region, completion of assigned tasks, providing first-line support for all internal systems and responsibilities as listed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the IT Helpdesk ticketing system (Freshdesk)
  • Complete and assist with IT projects as required.
  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of the Asia Pacific region’s Hardware and Software.
  • Provide support for all technology and computer systems across the Asia Pacific region.
  • Monitor and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices in line with Group IT requirements.
  • Monitor and manage the IT infrastructure, o365, Azure, and Cloud Systems
  • Ensuring the security of data, network access and backup systems and promoting staff understanding of the importance of IT security

Other responsibilities

  • Running regular checks on network infrastructure and data security
  • Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems.
  • Attending the Weekly IT Workshop
  • Preserve assets, information security and control structures and maintain up-to-date equipment databases and registers. 
  • Identifying opportunities for staff training and skills advancement
  • Undertake professional development training as required by the IT Manager
  • To actively participate and contribute to the organization’s quality and safety program.
  • Conducting any other reasonable task as required in pursuit of organization efficiency and effective operation.

About you:

Essential

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar IT position
  • A driven attitude to support continuous system and process improvements
  • Good knowledge of PC/Laptop Hardware
  • Experience with Office Suite, Excel and Azure
  • Windows and Helpdesk skills
  • Previous experience using a ticketing system
  • User Support and Solution Finder (not just problem identifier) experience
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to manage and support users in remote and varied locations
  • Ability to manage priorities and triage incidents
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a team
  • Superior problem solving and adaptability
  • A safety approach in keeping with Luxaviation’ s Safety Standards
