Job Description
- Tax Compliance Support: Assist the Senior Taxation Advisor in all tax compliance activities.
- Process Development: Create and refine processes to enhance tax compliance efficiency.
- Work Paper Analysis: Analyse and review work papers to ensure compliance in indirect and direct taxation.
- Tax Effect Calculations: Assist with half-year and full-year tax effect calculations and income tax return preparations.
- FBT and GST Compliance: Oversee FBT and GST compliance, including report collation and review.
- Tax Research: Conduct ad hoc research and interpret tax policies and procedures.
The Successful Applicant
- A tertiary degree in accounting. CA, CPA or CTA qualified
- Post-qualification experience in a commercial or accounting firm setting.
- Knowledge of current tax accounting practices, systems, and standards.
- Proficiency in interpreting and applying tax legislation and regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships, seek guidance, and identify solutions.
