The Project
ACCIONA has been selected to deliver Western Harbour Tunnel - Stage 2, Sydney's third harbour crossing. The new Western Harbour Tunnel (WHT) will connect to WestConnex at the Rozelle Interchange, cross underneath Sydney Harbour between Birchgrove and Waverton, and connect with the Warringah Freeway near North Sydney.
Project scope includes:
- Construction of approximately 4.8 kilometres of mainline tunnels with three lanes in each direction
- Civil, Mechanical and Electrical fitout of Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunnels
- Surface level work, including on and off ramps and tie-in work to the Warringah Freeway
In line with the above, ACCIONA is now looking for Quality Engineer to join the Western Harbour Tunnel Project. As the Quality Engineer, you will be providing support to establish quality and completion systems and controls to successfully deliver the project. The Quality Engineer will ensure that all quality and completion requirements are satisfied when transitioning finished works to the Client and Stakeholders.
Specific Tasks Include
- Assist with the establishment of Project Plans and procedures
- Liaise with stakeholders to resolve issues relating to quality and completion.
- Assist with the development of asset registers and liaising with stakeholders to obtain the respective approvals from relevant representatives.
- Liaise with auditors and ensure the execution of corrective actions is put in place.
- Assist with the ongoing use of the Project collaboration system.
- Monitor the completion of quality records.
- Assist with the establishment of quality and completion performance reports.
- Ensure compliance with all quality standards and legislation.
- Assist in the preparation of and review quality and completion documentation and records.
- Determine appropriate construction methods, materials and quality standard, and review construction methods and procedures used on project
Qualifications and Experience
- Tertiary Qualification in engineering or related discipline
- Experience with Quality Management Systems in accordance with ISO 9000
- Prior experience in a similar role on a large infrastructure project
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships
- Excellent communication and problem-solving mindset
