XAM Consulting is a high-growth company, and we have an opportunity for a permanent, full-time Hands-on Senior Consultant.

This is a great opportunity to work with the latest technologies including K8s, Cloud-Native and Azure technologies in the application innovation space. Reporting to our technical director your primary objective will be to work as a senior consultant on one or more projects simultaneously, keeping clients happy.

This will mean that you’ll solve complex problems, design solution architectures, mentor your team, set an example, implement software best practices and be the go-to technical person for your projects.

Communication skills are a must, we need people who are both technical masters and can communicate clearly to customers obtaining customer trust.

As a senior consultant, you will be tasked with the following:

Development of cloud-native and Azure native solutions for enterprise applications, integration, and SaaS

Enterprise-level software development on projects (lead by example)

Document and Implement estimating process for multiple types of projects and customers

Take overall ownership of project delivery from a technical perspective

Conduct code reviews

Refactor and modernise apps

You are someone with experience in:

Growing understanding of Cloud Native solutions

Knowledge and practical experience in PaaS, Cloud Native and Serverless service in the App/Compute space

Experience in enterprise-grade software engineering, including unit testing, TDD, SOLID,

Experience in C#, .NET, Azure, Cloud

Experience with IoC

Understanding of software architectures in code and overall, understanding of how databases and networks work etc.

Nice to have:

Experience leading software development teams

Experience helping others improve

Practical experience with Microservices

DevOps, DevSecOps and Best Practice experience largely within Azure

Knowledge of Security in Azure and Applications

Commercial experience building and deploying applications in Azure (App Services, SQL Databases, Storage Accounts, Messaging, App Insights)
