Due to company expansion and growth, it has provided us an excellent opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our team, working from our Perth office in Western Australia. 

About the Role

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for design, quality control checks, structural engineering, and client relationship management. Scope of works may include medium-large scale building project assignments from large residential, office buildings, units and apartments, health care, government, and mid to high rise buildings. 

  • Provide specialist input into structural engineering tasks, including verification of designs. 
  • Conduct detailed structural analysis, calculations, and design using relevant software and industry standards.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor works undertaken and check conditions.
  • Liaise with team to maintain a knowledge and understanding of trends and technology in structural engineering.
  • Provide team input, leadership, and mentoring direction for engineering elements of projects undertaken by the company.
  • Carry out stakeholder interaction with clients providing recommendation for needed actions. Collaborate with architects, design team, project managers and other engineering professionals. 
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards or vulnerabilities in structures for potential impact on safety and functionality. 

About You 

  • Minimum 5-years experience, as a Structural Design Engineer. 
  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering (or equivalent recognised by Institute of Australian Engineers) 
  • Ideally Charted Professional Member of Engineers Australia.
  • Excellent Understanding of Aus standards across: Multi-Residential and Commercial Projects. 
  • Background in designing structures with steel, concrete and or timber.
  • Client solution focused with solid project management expertise. 
  • Excellent salary package and vehicle suitable to role.
