We are seeking a Category Manager to join a well-established and highly regarded equipment manufacturer for the automotive and outdoor adventure space.

As the Category Manager, your role will entail overseeing a specific product category within the business (Accessories) in a . Working in close collaboration with cross-functional teams such as merchandising, marketing, operations, and finance, your primary objective will be to ensure that the product category (Accessories) effectively meets customer needs, managing a significant revenue budget while aligning with the overall business goals. You will directly report to the Group Category Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive category strategy in line with the company's vision and objectives.
  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify emerging product opportunities and stay abreast of industry trends.
  • Collaborate closely with the merchandising team to curate and select products that resonate with customers and remain competitive in the market.
  • Work alongside the marketing team to craft impactful product positioning, messaging, and promotional strategies.
  • Monitor category performance metrics and provide recommendations to optimize product offerings, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
  • Effectively manage category budgets and resources to meet sales and profit targets.
  • Cultivate strong partnerships with key suppliers and partners to negotiate favourable terms and ensure consistent product supply.
  • Stay informed about industry regulations and standards pertaining to the category, ensuring compliance and product quality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in category management or a related area.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, leveraging data to drive decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities, fostering productive relationships across teams.
  • A passion for innovation and a customer-centric approach.
  • Previous experience in retail, e-commerce, or consumer goods industries is advantageous.
