Wellness Here for Life utilises the clinical capabilities and experience of nurses nationwide to provide affordable, convenient healthcare. Spanning metropolitan, regional and remote hospitals, pharmacies and homes, Wellness clinics are designed to deliver end-to-end support for patients.

We are looking for a Nurse Lead to champion high nursing standards, ensuring best practices are implemented by the team in all patient interactions and treatment tracking. This leader will also provide advanced nursing assessments, diagnoses, care, and interventions while adhering to their scope of practice, Axe Health guidelines, and the specific practice setting

Role & Responsibilities:
 

  • Lead a team of 10 nurses across NSW to deliver advanced assessments, diagnoses, care, and interventions. (For Nurse Practitioners: includes prescribing medications and referrals).
  • Set goals, manage staff schedules, provide guidance, and answer health-related questions.
  • Continuously improve patient care delivery, ensure best practices are followed, and promote cost-effective use of resources.
  • Uphold AHPRA registration, adhere to relevant legislation, and ensure adherence to clinic policies and procedures.
  • Effectively collaborate with patients, medical professionals, pharmacy staff, and allied health colleagues.
  • Utilize clinic software for scheduling, patient record management, and reporting.
  • Maintain current clinical knowledge through ongoing professional development activities.
  • Manage risks, promote patient safety, and contribute to a safe work environment.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all electronic and hard copy patient records.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and commitment to ethical conduct, including equal opportunity principles.

Skills & Experience:
 
  • AHPRA registration as a Nurse Practitioner or Registered Nurse (with relevant state notations and formulary requirements).
  • Experience in providing advanced assessments, diagnoses, care, and interventions (Nurse Practitioners only: prescribing medications and referrals).
  • Proven ability to set goals, manage staff, and foster a positive team environment.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement in patient care delivery and adherence to best practices.
  • Experience ensuring adherence to AHPRA guidelines, relevant legislation, and clinic protocols.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with a variety of healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Ability to utilize clinic software for scheduling, documentation, and reporting.
  • A commitment to maintaining a professional appearance, positive attitude, and ethical conduct.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to take initiative and solve problems.
  • A flexible and reliable individual with a commitment to punctuality and responsiveness.
