Senior Data Analyst | Commodities and Global Markets

You will join our Data Change team, supporting project delivery for one of many exciting change transformations across Macquarie. We provide data solutions; facilitating effective data management through new platforms and automated system flows within our Commodities and Global Markets group. In this role you will wrangle, interpret, and analyse trading data in relation to regulatory reporting, supporting data platforms, solutions, and data modelling. Engaging with stakeholders effectively, you will identify data needs (including data quality), and data consumption use cases to capture, synthesize, and translate disparate requirements into data requirements. You will collaborate with data architects and system stakeholders to develop, maintain, and publish understandable, usable strategic data models that optimise data usage and accessibility using standardised methods across all lines of business, and effectively communicate these models to a diverse audience.

- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to interpret and wrangle data
- Excellent analytical capacity supported by clear and concise communication skills
- Ability to think strategically, challenge the norm, collaborate efficiently with strong attention to detail
- Experience with at least two coding languages such as python and SQL
- Understanding of end-to-end processing of data from ingestion through to reporting and analytics
- Experience using Dataiku would be a bonus, along with finance domain knowledge - particularly related to commodities, financial markets, regulatory, risk, or financial transformation.
