Bravus Mining & Resources is an Australian company dedicated to creating jobs and opportunities for regional Queensland communities.

We are recruiting a seasoned Document Controller to support our Carmichael Mine, a 10mtpa coal mine located northwest of Clermont in central Queensland. This critical role is based in our Townsville office, and the successful applicant will be a Townsville resident or someone wishing to return to the region. We will offer relocation assistance to move back to Townsville for this opportunity.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Based in Townsville, the Document Controller role holds a key position within the organisation, supporting our Carmichael Mine. With your broad experience in embedding operating discipline in document management, you will drive the integrity of the system and the effectiveness of the processes to ensure we have control of the information needed to run our operation and keep our people safe.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Maintain access to Aconex and perform other tasks associated with Aconex administration as necessary.
  • Register, control, distribute, file and archive project records using the Document Management System (Aconex).
  • Lead a program of upskilling and compliance that identifies areas within our operations where document management opportunities exist to ensure the system is utilised as a robust knowledge bank.
  • Collaborate with our Capital teams to ensure the smooth integration of applicable documents at the completion of each project.
  • Support quality assurance audits, internal technical reviews, client reviews, and audits.
  • Provide training and technical guidance to project team members in the use of Aconex, including managing users, generation of workflows, contractor docs, and transmitting of documents.
  • Demonstrate leadership in safety through personal behaviours and conversations.

Other qualifications and attributes required include:

  • Detailed knowledge and experience using EDMS e.g., SharePoint, Aconex, etc.
  • Knowledge and comprehension of Quality and Safety management systems and standards.
  • Knowledge and comprehension of regulatory and legislative requirements specific to mining and construction, including acts, regulations, and accreditations.
  • Proven leadership abilities with a track record of effectively managing cross-functional teams and driving results.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, strategy and analysis, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A flexible attitude to work will be required to meet operational deadlines.
  • You will also demonstrate key behaviors, including collaboration and inclusiveness, adaptability, ability to develop people, self-awareness, ability to influence and prioritise.
