An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced CHPP Reliability Specialist to join our dynamic and successful team. As a valued member of the team and reporting directly to the CHPP Maintenance Superintendent, this multifaceted role will see you ensuring the effective development, scheduling and execution of maintenance strategies in the Hail Creek Open Cut CHPP. This role forms part of the CHPP team and is integral to the development and implementation of short and long term reliability and shutdown strategies to ensure that targeted plant performance is achieved.

You will work autonomously with a large and varied workload and be able to prioritise your work to suit the needs of the leadership team. Other key responsibilities include:

  • Develop delay and performance analysis reports for the CHPP assets and coordinate weekly review meetings.
  • Manage the CHPP equipment health vibration and oil analysis programs.
  • Lead the Root Cause Analysis process to conduct failure investigations and assist in managing the equipment life cycle asset management strategy.
  • Develop and review maintenance strategies for CHPP equipment and monitoring using reliability centred maintenance principals.
  • Coordinate defect elimination program by utilising data analytics and ensuring correct equipment lifecycle strategies.

To be successful in this role, you are a savvy, results driven and resilient character with a demonstrated strong knowledge of SAP and a relevant engineering or trade background. A passion for data analytics, as well as experience in developing and implementing strategies to achieve reliability and availability levels. Working closely with all stakeholders to ensure that all maintenance and other targets are met, whilst maintaining relevant standards of engineering practice.

You will have the option to either live locally in one of the communities that surround our operation or stay on site in our amazing village. We are only one and half hour drive from the beautiful Mackay hinterland and a two- and half-hour drive from Airlie Beach and the Whitsunday Islands and have a diverse group of people at our operation commuting from multiple locations in Queensland such as Rockhampton and Townsville, to name a few.
