Company and You: 

Our client is looking for a passionate drawing office supervisor with a proven track record in various large heavy OEM projects to support the business and their design department.

Responsible for the overall effective delivery of design projects, detailed documentation, and storage of CAD designs. The ideal candidate will be able to lead by example but assist in resolving client and project team challenges through lateral thinking and the development of innovative designs and systems.

Daily Duties:

  • Plan & schedule drafting work to meet deadlines. 
  • Delegate design tasks to the team.
  • Check, and revise 3D CAD models, assemblies, and detail drawings using CAD and PDM (large material handling). 
  • Contribute to day to day design activities, 3D modeling, and detailed component designs for large material handling projects. 
  • Record design calculations in a manner that they can easily be checked and used for other projects. 
  • Check BOMs for the team and accurately store the details. 
  • Work closely with Engineers, PMs, and designers. 
  • Communicate effectively with external stakeholders and production teams.
  • Responsible for improving company design documentation across the country (4 branches).
  • Coach and up-skill junior draftees. 
  • Comply with engineering best practices and assist with technical inquiries. 
Education/Experience: 
  • A passionate designer or draftsman with a few years of leadership under their belt.
  • Proficient in AuoCAD and 3D CAD.
  • Skilled in communication, organisation, quality control, and attention to detail.
  • Willing to share their skills and experience. 
  • Ability to write reports and use Microsoft Office.
