About this Opportunity
The Senior Specialist, Signalling Standards and Systems Engineering is a new position within the recently formed Signalling Strategy Taskforce (SST) Standards workstream. This role has been specifically created to manage the development of signalling standards.
The position will report to the Standards Lead, Signalling within the SST standards workstream. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day management of internal and external resources selected and/or procured for the purposes of developing and updating one or more signalling standards. This role will also contribute to the development of the signalling standards from a systems engineering perspective.
A proven ability to work collaboratively to successfully achieve targeted outcomes to time and budget is essential. This is a hands-on role where the ability to work constructively with other industry participants, including third parties, to obtain timely development and delivery of signalling standards that support all participants in the railway signalling supply chain is paramount. This role will contribute to, and influence, technical and people development strategies and actions, positive team culture, and the achievement of an improved rail network for Victoria.
