Key Responsibilities About the role
We are seeking a Senior Consultant to join our team in our waterside North Sydney office. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of traffic engineering principles and have experience working on various traffic engineering and transportation planning projects.
Core responsibilities of the role include:
- Conduct intersection analysis and/or traffic modelling.
- Analyse signal timing, parking and traffic data.
- Design and assess road safety improvements.
- Undertake intersection and corridor studies.
- Document traffic impact assessments (TIAs).
- Prepare proposals, technical reports and presentations.
- Manage clients and stakeholders with support.
- Preparation of traffic management plans (TMPs).
- Development of traffic signal plans.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must exhibit high-quality technical abilities in the traffic engineering and transport planning discipline and ideally will have experience with development assessment.
You will also have:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in transportation engineering.
- Strong technical skills in AutoCAD and traffic engineering software such as SIDRA, VISSIM or AutoTurn.
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Time management and prioritisation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
