Role- Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and implement automation solutions for the platform.
  • Collaborate with various teams to assess and implement automation solutions.
  • Set up, maintain, and consult on monitoring frameworks for internal stakeholders.
  • Work with application teams on observability setups, including dashboards and self-healing solutions.
  • Utilize Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines.
  • Use Ansible for configuration management and deployment.
  • Establish performance monitoring practices using tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, and ThousandEyes.
  • Develop and optimize solutions for monitoring tool integration and automation.
  • Communicate tool capabilities and processes to stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular training sessions on tool usage and best practices.
  • Provide input to improve global monitoring and observability services.
  • Apply standards to tasks ensuring quality, risk management, and compliance.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years with GitHub, Jenkins, and Ansible.
  • 5+ years with Linux fundamentals, and scripting (PowerShell, Python).
  • 2+ years with Splunk, AppDynamics, ThousandEyes.
  • Knowledge of REST APIs and monitoring extensions.
  • Experience in application development (Java) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with tech stacks like Java app servers, web servers, Golang, Kubernetes, OpenShift, PCF, AWS, and Google Cloud.
  • Experience with ServiceNow, Confluence, and Jira.
  • Knowledge of event management tools and operations automation (AIOps).
  • Experience in creating and supporting monitoring dashboards.
  • Proficiency with monitoring solutions for servers, networks, and databases.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take initiative.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into system requirements.
  • Technical writing experience in queries, reports, and presentations.
