As we continue to expand our operations, we have a new opportunity for an experienced HSE Coordinator to join the team.

The HSET Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that the highest health, safety and environmental (HSE) operational standards are maintained in all areas of RUC Mining.

This is a critical role in our business reporting to the Associate Director â People, Risk and the Environment. Predominantly based in our Burswood Head Office the role may require adhoc DIDO and FIFO travelling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the management and continuous improvement for the RUC Critical Risk Management (CRM) program.
  • Assist RUC HSET management in the construction and implementation of Safety Management Plans and Site Activity Compliance and Implementation Schedules.
  • Assist RUC HSET management through facilitation and participation in Risk Assessments as required.
  • Complete HSET document writing requirements including developing and implementing theory and practical assessments.
  • Assist as required conducting inductions, training, and competency assessments.
  • Undertake reviews of RUC training programmes, procedures and standards as required.
  • Undertake ICAM investigations on site as and when required.
  • When required assist the HSET Compliance Manager with audits.
  • When required provide site HSET coverage for leave.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in underground mining.
  • Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent.
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or equivalent.
  • High level computer literacy especially with Microsoft office suite.
  • Good understanding of current WHS and mining legislation.
  • ICAM lead investigator certificate.
  • Auditing qualification highly regarded.
  • Current First Aid certificate.
  • Working at heights certificate.
