Workshop Technician / Store Supervisor – Specialist Equipment Solutions

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our workshop and inventory management at our Kalgoorlie facility.

The position will involve the following:

  • Managing preventative maintenance for hydraulic equipment.
  • Management of calibration of equipment.
  • Diagnostic fault finding for hydraulic equipment.
  • Preparing hire jobs ready for dispatch to site.
  • Quality Assurance.
  • Internal sales, quoting and communication with our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Regular maintenance of our hire fleet and service equipment.
  • Maintain Marcem’s Quality Management System, including registers and be ahead of our or customer requirements.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests on malfunctioning equipment and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment repairs, inventory levels, and stock movements.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing shipments, including packing, unpacking, and organising inventory.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels.
  • Assist in organising and maintaining a clean and organised workshop environment.
  • Provide support to other team members as required.
  • Prepare tooling for hires and customer orders.

What our ideal applicant will need to succeed:

  • A Positive can-do attitude and be willing to learn.
  • Mechanical background (preferred) or aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • You must have full working rights within Australia.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Competent computer proficiency.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures.
  • Technical certification is a plus.
  • Hold or have the ability to hold a driver's license.
  • Hold or have the ability to hold a forklift license.
    Be willing to complete local or daily travel when required throughout the local and greater Brisbane areas.
  • Undergo regular medical tests, drug and alcohol screenings and other tests if required from our customers within industry.
  • Undertake site inductions – both on-line and onsite as required.
