As their team experiences rapid growth, we are actively seeking skilled and enthusiastic Software Engineers who are eager to contribute to meaningful projects.

This position requires on-site presence in Adelaide, and unfortunately, remote work is not possible due to the nature of the work and stringent defense security measures. The majority of the tasks associated with this role will be conducted on-premises, and, as such, the option for working from home is not available.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing best practices in software development across various modern languages, mostly C++, Python, or Java.
  • Creating code that is well-designed, testable, and thoroughly documented.
  • Interacting with clients and working closely with a passionate team of scientists and engineers to share the future of defence solutions.
  • Providing ongoing enhancements, maintenance, and support in existing systems and platforms.

Key criteria & experience:
  • To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen and hold an active Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) Security Clearance or higher.
  • Proven experience and understanding of the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Proficiency in an object-oriented programming language, ideally C++, Python or Java.
  • Familiarity with Git or other version control tools.
  • Experience with SCRUM or Agile working environments and methodologies.
  • Commitment and a drive to continuously challenge and improve yourself.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar domain.
Bonus to have, but not essential:
  • Experience working with Ada, QT, OpenCV, or Unreal Engine.
  • Exposure to web-based technologies like TypeScript, Angular, NodeJS, or ReactJS.
