About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineers to join a rapidly growing maritime/defence company. This role involves engaging in various structural engineering activities across Concept, Preliminary, and Detailed Design phases. If you have a passion for engineering and a desire to work on innovative projects, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Structural Analysis & Design: Conduct structural analysis and design, including hullform and outfit design.
  • 3D Modelling & Analysis: Use 3D and FE software packages such as Inventor NASTRAN, ANSYS suite, and Hyperworks suite for modelling, studies, and analyses.
  • Engineering Documentation: Produce detailed design drawings, illustrations, and diagrams using software such as AutoCAD and MicroStation.
  • Technical Advice: Provide structural engineering design, construction, and through-life issue advice to external parties and other technical disciplines as required.
  • Reports & Specifications: Contribute structural engineering input to reports and specifications.
  • Client & Contractor Liaison: Communicate effectively with clients and other contractors as required.
  • Project Management: Manage assigned tasks and activities.
  • Capability Development: Contribute to the development of in-house structural design and analysis capabilities.
  • Support Activities: Perform other duties as required to support design, consultancy, and marketing activities.
  • Uphold company HSEQ standards at all times.

About You

  • Professional Engineer with a minimum of tertiary qualifications in Structural Engineering. Must be working towards or have attained recognition as a Chartered Professional Engineer with Engineers Australia.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in engineering design within a quality framework.
  • Eligible to secure an NV1 Security Clearance.
