Join us as a Trainee Educator to begin your career in Childcare, at our brand new Childcare Centre Aurrum Kids Toowoomba, due to open in August 24 You’ll have the opportunity to learn from our experienced Educators and guide children in our care in play-led learning that is centred on their individual interests.

Our purpose-built centre, accommodating 108 children across six rooms, features several amenities for an enriching experience. It includes a welcoming entrance piazza for family and educator connections, a spacious commercial kitchen, separate sleep rooms, large Pre-Kinder and Kindergarten rooms with artelier spaces, and a versatile yard designed to suit the interests and needs of all children.

You will

  • Build meaningful relationships with the children, families, fellow Educators, and the wider centre community
  • Provide a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment which meets the social, cultural, emotional and educational needs of the children and families
  • Work in collaboration with other Educators to extend and guide children’s thinking and learning through teaching methods, play and the environment

About you

You will be able to provide exceptional customer service and share your passion for caring for children, and by extension their families. You will be committed to developing your own expertise, making a difference in early years learning, and working closely with other team members to provide an excellent experience for Aurrum children.

Additionally, you will have:

  • Some experience working in a busy environment
  • Enrolled in your Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services or ACECQA recognised equivalent
  • Developing understanding of the Early Years Framework and National Quality Standards
  • An up to date working with children check (WWCC) and children protection certificate, or willingness to obtain
