Junior Site Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Site Engineer to join the team. The Junior Site Engineer’s principal responsibility is to develop their learning and understanding by assisting the project team, acting as the liaison between the construction, design and administration elements. The Junior Site Engineer assists with the management of quality whilst providing technical construction support for all project stakeholders.
Reporting to the Project Engineer or Project Manager, your responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning by actively participating in the Engineer Training Development Program and completing all associated paperwork in required timeframes
- Assist in the establishment, maintenance and monitoring of project quality standards and procedures.
- Assist with identifying issues on the project and lead the development and implementation of solutions.
- Assist in reviewing subcontractor quality documentation to and works on site to ensure compliance.
- Assist in the compilation of certification documentation, maintenance and purchaser manuals.
- Assist in managing the flow of technical information between the design disciplines and internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in reviewing subcontract shop drawings for general compliance and ensure the design consultant reviews and signs off on all shop drawings.
- Assist in resolving design and coordination issues that arise between client, consultant and subcontract elements.
- Assist with ensuring design is completed to standard and on time to maintain programme.
- Assist in reviewing the tender package content for scope of work, product usage and design logic.
- Assist in working with stakeholders in the procurement, supervision and administration of all trade packages.
- Ensure safety compliance on all projects. Assist the project team in the promotion, management and enforcement of site safety, completion of safety administration and a proactive approach to rectification.
Skills & experience:
- Degree qualifications in Engineering or Construction Management
- Strong administration and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail and passion for delivering work to a high standard
- A proactive, professional with strong interpersonal skills and customer-focused approach and ability to work with a broad range of people from varying backgrounds
- Deverloping understanding of Quality & Design for structures, services, finishes and facade components
