The Opportunity 
A compelling opportunity exists for a People and Culture Manager to join our team at Accru. We are seeking a proactive and strategic HR leader who can drive our people initiatives and foster a positive, goal-oriented workplace culture. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the organisation by developing and implementing HR strategies that align with our business objectives. 
 
Reporting to a Director, you will collaborate closely and have a dotted reporting line to each of the three divisions—Wealth Management, Business Advisory Services, and Audit. As a key advisor, you will provide comprehensive support, advice, and solutions related to all aspects of human resources throughout the entire employee lifecycle. Your ability to build strong relationships and understand the unique needs of each division will be crucial in providing tailored HR solutions.
 
Your responsibilities will include managing the day-to-day HR operations to ensure smooth and efficient processes. You will be instrumental in driving and supporting various HR projects and strategies, such as talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and learning and development. Your strategic vision will help shape the future of our workforce, ensuring we attract, develop, and retain top talent. 

In this busy, varied role, your responsibilities will include: 

  • Strategic Alignment: Partner with divisional leaders to align HR strategies with business objectives, fostering a goal-oriented culture. 
  • Talent Acquisition and Management: Manage recruitment and implement talent programs to develop a leadership pipeline and retain top talent. 
  • Employee Engagement and Retention: Assess engagement, act on feedback, and create a supportive environment that motivates employees. 
  • Performance Management: Implement systems for clear expectations, regular feedback, and professional development, ensuring fair performance reviews. 
  • Learning and Development: Collaborate on a learning strategy that supports both current and future business needs. 
  • HR Policies and Compliance: Maintain compliance with legal standards, regularly updating HR policies to reflect best practices and legislative changes. 
  • Culture and Change Management: Lead initiatives to strengthen organisational culture and manage change smoothly, ensuring clear communication. 
  • HR Technology: Utilise HR technology to manage records and processes efficiently, regularly updating systems and training employees for optimal use. 
  • HR Metrics and Reporting: Develop HR metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and provide insights for strategic decision-making. 
  • Employee Relations: Act as a trusted advisor, offering coaching to manage issues and conflicts, promoting a collaborative environment. 
  • Remuneration & Benefits: Oversee salary benchmarking, annual reviews, and benefits to attract and retain talent. 
  • Operational Excellence: Streamline HR operations to boost productivity and continuously improve processes for a better employee experience. 
About you:
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in HR
  • Previous experience working in professional services or a partnership model
  • Ability to align HR strategies with organisational goals 
  • In-depth knowledge of HR policies, practices, and legal requirements. 
  • Proficiency in HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations 
  • The ability to build rapport and trust through consistent, respectful interactions
