What you’ll be doing in this role
Our Allied Health department are currently looking for casual Therapy Assistants to join our dynamic team consisting of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists and exercise physiologists delivering evidence-based patient care.
The primary purpose of this position is to assist in the provision of therapy as prescribed by our Allied Health staff for required inpatients and outpatients within our rehab and acute areas.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team efficiently and effectively thus providing excellent patient care
- Manage and prioritise caseloads according to urgency
- Under supervision of a treating therapist, provide high quality care to patients
- Administrative tasks and duties to ensure accurate information is collected, recorded and all due diligence is made
- Wholeheartedly contributing to a culture of excellence and continuous quality improvement by actively contributing to a culture of comradery and teamwork
Who we’re looking for
- Have great time management skills, with the ability to alter your priorities according to varying deadlines where required
- Your friendly, can-do and positive attitude when working with others with the desire to go ‘above & beyond’ when interacting with patients, their families, visitors, and your colleagues
- The ability to be collaborative, adaptable, work well within a team environment, along with being able to work independently
- Be empathetic, systematic, detail-oriented, and prepared to embrace Adventist Healthcare’s everyday values of excellence and integrity
- You'll have a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance, equivalent experience and/ or any other relevant requirements associated with the position
