Alana Kaye College is a multi award winning Registered Training Organisation (RTO). We cater to both domestic and international students, with state of the art campus’ in Darwin, Northern Territory and Gold Coast, Queensland. 

Reporting to the General Manager the RTO Branch Manager for the Northern Territory will focus on business growth, sustainability and compliance within the branch.

Position purpose is to effectively lead and develop Alana Kaye’s Northern Territory branch to maximise income generation and produce profit, whilst ensuring ongoing compliance with relevant government, sector, industry and Alana Kaye frameworks; and to embrace change to achieve the best outcome for students while maintaining responsiveness to industry and key stakeholder needs. 

 Your duties will include:

  • Proactively works to maximise the financial performance of Alana Kaye Northern Territory Branch via the provision of quality training and excellent student service to ensure a profitable business outcome. 
  • Oversees Northern Territory Government funding contracts and Tender applications.
  • Effectively manages all resources in an efficient manner consistent with business requirements. 
  • Investigates and develops viable commercial opportunities for Alana Kaye and prepares business plans, marketing plans and capital plans in liaison with the General Manager, National Training Manager and Chief Executive Officer 
  • Creates opportunities to promote, market and sell all available accredited training opportunities (fee for service, traineeships and government funded programs) with potential employers and businesses. 
  • Develops and maintains positive, productive and mutually beneficial relationships with Employer Groups, Industry Bodies and other key stakeholders. 
  • Provides effective leadership, management and monitoring of trainer and administrative staff recruitment, performance and productivity to ensure the provision of quality training, ongoing compliance and excellent student service. 
  • Proactively monitors and evaluates the delivery and assessment of training programs on scope to ensure their provision is responsive and drives continuous improvement consistent with organisational, funding body, industry and regulatory requirements. 
  • Works collaboratively to backfill trainers to deliver training and/or assess RPL at short notice on occasion with input from the National Training Manager
  • Undertakes other responsibilities as required and directed by the General Manager.
  • Demonstrated high level experience and achievement in the contemporary management of training programs. Relevant experience in a similar role, minimum 5 years. 
  • Demonstrated high level of understanding of how RTOs operate, with extensive knowledge of ASQA/NVR/DITT and training package requirements. 
  • Proven ability to write tenders, manage budgets, and use financial reporting, forecasting and planning skills. 
  • Proven team management experience with a strong track record of building, motivating and engaging staff. 
  • Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills, including highly developed written communication skills and the ability to effectively advise, consult and negotiate with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or TAE40116) or higher is essential. 
  • Knowledge of and experience in use of Student Management Systems e.g. Vettrak is highly desirable. 
  • A Police check and ‘Working with Children’ card
