Wood is recruiting Principal Instrument & Control Engineers as part of our strategic growth plan for 2024 and beyond. You will join our Operations business in a pivotal role as we partner with a major player in the Oil & Gas industry on a major brownfields Engineering Service Contract. Based in Perth CBD, this is a permanent role and is available as a full-time / part-time (job share) basis.
Wood’s “Operations” APAC West business delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation, and technical services to the Oil & Gas industry and enjoys long-term partnerships with some of the region’s most prominent producers located in Western Australia, Northern Territory and Southeast Asia.

Requirements:- Suitably qualified in Instrumentation / Electrical Engineering
- Proven experience in a Lead / Principal Engineering role with 15+ years of relevant design engineering experience in Oil & Gas production and processing industries
In addition, you will:
- Be recognized as an expert in Instrument & Controls engineering
- Have knowledge of advanced engineering principles and techniques
- Have leadership experience and ability to energize diverse teams
- Have knowledge of relevant regulatory framework and legislation
- Be commercially astute and have a solutions mindset
- Be an articulate communicator with technical report writing and presentation skills
- Have excellent knowledge of MS Office applications and engineering programs
- Have a passion for energy security/transition and client-focused approach
