About the role:

Reporting to the Data and Analytics (D&A) Manager, Data Architect will design and implement data architecture and foundational data assets in alignment with BaptistCare's Data and Analytics Strategy. You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including the Data and Analytics team, technology teams, Azure experts, business representatives, and various technology specialists, to deliver and implement the detailed design.

In thisnewly created Data Architect role, you'll be at the forefront ofbuilding our organisation's data assets, collaborating with diverse stakeholders, including the D&A and BTS teams, Azure experts, and business representatives. You'll leverage various technologies todeliver and implement strategic designs, all while being part of ourgrowing companyknown for itsdynamic, supportive, and enjoyable team culture.

What will you be responsible for:

  • Visualise and present data architecture concepts to a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Design and implementation expertise in medallion data architecture and metadata-driven data pipelines.
  • Design and implement data architecture and foundational data assets in alignment with the organisation's Data and Analytics Strategy.
  • Work with diverse stakeholders to deliver and implement detailed designs across various departments.
  • Design, implement, and optimise data systems for reporting.
  • Develop and maintain data warehouse and Azure data pipeline standards.
  • Establish data governance policies and procedures.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Excellent communicator with highly developed interpersonal skills.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Azure Data Platform tools, including Azure Synapse, ADF, Data Lake, Snowflake, and Power BI.
  • Degree in Information Technology or Business Intelligence
  • 6+ years' experience with Microsoft SQL Server technologies like SSIS, SSAS.
  • 4+ years' experience in data warehouse development and design on both on-premises and cloud platforms.
  • Data architecture experience in Finance, Marketing, Healthcare or Aged Care sectors.
  • Genuine alignment to BaptistCare's purpose, mission and values.
