My client is a leader in the supply of industrial packing solutions to the Australian market. They are seeking a talented Business Development Manager for their Southern Region to drive this successful business forward

About You

  • Proven track record of success in sales development or related roles within an industrial B2B environment, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Previous experience in Industrial Packaging or Bulk Cargo industries highly valued.
  • Commercial / Business Qualifications preferred but not essential.
  • Self-motivated, persistent and ability to work alone or team as required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to negotiate effectively with clients.
  • Data driven, results oriented, customer focused

What you will do:

  • Lead Generation: Spearhead the identification and targeting of potential clients.
  • Pipeline Management: Manage the sales pipeline effectively by qualifying leads, tracking progress, and prioritizing opportunities to ensure timely follow-up and conversion.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with Sales Managers to ensure alignment in marketplace and with Sales and Logistics regarding product development, forecasting and supply strategy.
  • Strategy Development: Collaborate with the other functions to develop comprehensive sales development strategies that align with company objectives, leveraging market insights and industry trends to drive growth.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor sales metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of sales initiatives, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to optimize results.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with potential clients, industry partners, and key stakeholders to enhance brand visibility, foster trust, and facilitate long-term business partnerships.
  • Market Research: Stay abreast of market developments, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify emerging opportunities and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management.
