Our story
Our journey to transform BEN into and bigger, better, stronger, and more impactful business is well underway. Our Transformation will radicallysimplify our business, modernise our technology and digitise our customer journeys,supporting our people to provide exceptional service and relevant solutions to meet customer needs.
Historically BEN Business Banking and Rural Bank have existed as two entirely separate businesses, with Rural previously existing as a separate banking organisation. Since 2019 activity has gradually been underway to bring the two businesses together into a consolidated Business & Agri (Rural) division of BEN.
During 2024 the formal migration will be undertaken to move Rural across to BEN products, platforms, policies and processes. To support this consolidation, and the future growth of the combined Business & Agri division, there is also the introduction of a new consolidated CRM and end-to-end product origination platform happening simultaneously.
From 2025 onwards Business & Agri will look to evolve and further build out its new consolidated ecosystem, leveraging modern release and change methods to accelerate features and capabilities that will benefit customers and bankers.
As the Program Manager you'll focus on...
- Program Delivery - leading end-to-end delivery of a new banking platform and CRM for the B&A business, along with simplified processes and policies, managing dependencies with a major platform migration and several material 3rd part vendors.
- Governance - Managing conflicting priorities, including shared resources, release schedules. Providing quality executive reporting and pro-actively bringing key topics to the table for decision-making and alignment.
- Financial Management - bringing an "owners' mindset" to financial planning, forecasting, tracking, and monitoring program spend. Utilising reporting of budget vs actual for the Program to inform choices / trade-offs or decisions.
- Stakeholder Management - building trusted relationships with stakeholders to ensure program delivery aligns with business strategy.
- Delivery Standards - collaborating with the Enterprise PMO to enforce and improve delivery standards and execution governance across the program.
- Risk Management - Pro-actively identifying, monitoring and mitigating risks at program level ensuring appropriate Steering Committee transparency.
- Delivery Leadership - leading a program delivery team and managing resources effectively to deliver. Working with cross-functional teams to ensure deliverable commitments are met and obstacles are removed.
- People Leadership - leading a team of Project Managers, coaching, development and removing roadblocks.
About you
- Stakeholder Management - you are experienced at leading and influencing a range of business, technical and partner stakeholders to deliver value and change at speed. You always hold yourself and others accountable.
- Governance and Planning - you know how to optimise the valuable investments made into programs for safe and on time delivery of benefits to customers, bankers, and the enterprise.
- Banking - you have a good understanding of the methods and points of value in delivering for a modern Bank (ideally a Business and Agri division and for commercial oriented banking customers).
- Execution & Problem Solving - you make well-considered decisions, can lead complex planning. You love to problem-solve and act with integrity. You have demonstrated capability in handling complex technology problems and trade-offs to achieve project and commercial goals.
- Innovative & Transformative - you constructively challenge the status quo and offers alternatives. Seeking to improve ways of working and being open to new ideas and experiences comes naturally.
- Resilient - you can work through challenges and work intensity, remaining focused on the customer and the bigger picture outcomes that will benefit BEN and its key stakeholders.
