We have become an employer of choice with the average tenure of our staff being greater than 15 years. However, a new opportunity has arisen for a high achieving Finance Manager with the right energy, enthusiasm and bold new ideas to lead our small finance team.

The role will report to the Chief Financial Officer and you will engage with the finance team at our head office in Silverwater.

The skills & experience you will need to succeed:

  • Business degree in Accounting, CPA or CA accreditation with a solid understanding of AusGAAP, NZGAAP, Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and all areas of Taxation (GST, Company Tax, FBT, Payroll Tax and Land Tax) including NZ Taxes;
  • Experience in managing Working Capital including Cashflow forecasting & management, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Inventory analysis and Fixed Assets / CAPEX;
  • A flair for comprehensive Management Reporting and the analysis of results, questioning everything and understanding what the figures actually mean;
  • Experience with high volume inventory management and e-Commerce platform integration and reporting;
  • Understanding how 3-way Budgeting (P&L, CAPEX and Cashflow) works with variance analysis;
  • Experienced with bank loans/finance facilities, foreign currency & exchange rates and forward contract hedging would be an advantage;
  • Exposure to dealing with banks, the ATO, State Revenue offices, insurance brokers and auditors. We are a large company so prior audit experience is essential;
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills are essential in order to liaise with all key stakeholders including local and overseas suppliers, customers, fellow managers and of course, your team mates;
  • Solid all-round IT skills using a modern ERP system (EPICOR or similar), advanced MS Excel and graphical BI Reporting Tools (MS Power BI or Tableau);
  • An interest in the commercial food equipment industry or packaging equipment as well as motor vehicle fleet management experience (not essential).
  • Sound people management skills and knowing how to inspire the best results from your dedicated team;
  • An optimistic and positive “can do” attitude ensuring that it gets done on time and in an accurate manner.
