Technology & Operations (T&O) aspires to create experiences our customers value, while providing best in class technology, advice and services to enable insights across Suncorp. The role of the Principal Software Engineer exists to deliver outstanding business results by developing functional and appealing Digital applications to drive great user experiences of customer-centric solutions.
A skilled Principal Software Engineer is needed to lead a high performing development team within the Technology & Operations division. Your role is to brainstorm, analysis, design, explore, build customer facing web applications, API or microservice capabilities for Digital Distribution Platform in support of key strategic initiatives all aimed at uplifting our Digital Insurance Sales and Services capabilities. You will be an active contributor to the Agile software development lifecycle and be familiar with DevOps/Continuous Integration and production deployment processes.
The role will also include leading systems analysis, design, development, maintenance & ongoing support to ensure that the quality of the solutions and artefacts you produce meet the defined needs relative to Suncorp’s environment. The role of the Principal Software Engineer exists to deliver outstanding business results by developing functional and appealing Digital applications to drive great user experiences of customer-centric solutions.
What you’ll bring
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent industry experience
- Minimum 10 years appropriate industry experience in software engineering in various programming languages
- Minimum 5 years appropriate industry experience in leading, advising and mentoring engineering teams in a variety of technical and business domains
- Proven track record of leading high performing teams
- Experience supporting high availability production systems
- Excellent knowledge/experience in the application of Agile and Lean approaches
- A strong hands-on and technical leadership of the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform on Adobe Forms, Adobe Site Pages, Adobe Analytics, Data Integration, CRXDE, AEM Components
- A strong hands-on and technical leadership on how to customise AEM Out-of-the-box component, customise authoring dialog, Adobe HTL/Markup
