Payroll and P&S Project Officer

Full Time Fixed Term Position - Until September 2025

Band 5 - Salary Range $76,355 to $87,925 per annum + 11% Super
(Pro rata for Part Time and + ADO for Full Time positions)
Salary offered will depend on level of skills and experience.

The Opportunity
Melton City Council employees over 900 employees and is currently seeking a Payroll and P&S Project Officer to support the People & Safety Team in processing of the fortnightly payroll, on-boarding and generalist People & Safety projects.
Reporting to the Team Leader Payroll, the successful candidate will work closely with the whole People and Safety team supporting all functions of the unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the delivery of the fortnightly payroll.
- Provide generalist project support to the People & Safety Team.
- Assist the People and Safety team in delivering generalist programs including but not limited to recruitment and on-boarding.
- Display effective customer service to Council staff who utilise the services provided by the People & Safety business unit.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- Degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management or relevant discipline or relevant People and Safety experience.
- Demonstrated experience of the Payroll function.
- Demonstrated experience of HR programs and function.
