We are seeking an Activity Planner to join our INPEX Implementation team in Darwin. Join us in helping shape a brighter energy future.

Primary Objective:

The Activity Planner is responsible for ensuring scopes of work within the CMMS (SAP) are accurately resourced to enable safe and efficient execution by the Ichthys facility maintenance teams.

Collaborating with key personnel to ensure all activities are captured, planned, and scheduled in line with the maintenance management processes and Work Management System (WMS).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assess and apply relevant resources to identified scopes of work, inclusive of but not limited to the following:
    • Materials.
    • Internal Labour.
    • External Labour (Vendors).
    • Special Tools.
    • Temporary equipment.
  • Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset with regards to updating key documents – i.e. Maintenance Plans, Task lists, Procedures and Bill of Materials.
  • Interface with external vendors / suppliers to obtain cost effective support for planned activities.
  • Utilising the Cost Time Resource process (CTR) to raise Purchase requisitions for external services and materials.
  • Identify and group scopes of work into package outage windows, in alignment with the Integrated Activity Plan (IAP).
  • Interface and support activity planning and scheduling peers to ensure packaged scopes of work are optimized.
  • Assist with budget preparation and cost estimates.
  • Provide frontline emergent planning support to the facility where required.
  • Support the facility with work scope execution and revision close out.
  • Interface with repairs, procurement, and logistics teams for expediting urgent materials and equipment.
  • Maintain visibility and action unplanned work scopes in the applicable planning horizon.
  • Action Plan Entry Criteria (PEC) shortfalls in a timely manner.
  • Ensure prioritisation is placed on critical scopes, focusing on CREG, IC, MA and P1 items where required.

Key qualifications, skills and experience required:

  • Strong experience in the oil and gas or mining industry with at least 2 years in the role of a Planner.
  • Highly skilled in the use of computerised maintenance management systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in fostering teamwork and collaboration.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, SAP PM, CMMS, Primavera P6 and appropriate operations information management systems, mostly for reporting / monitoring.
