Australian Christian College Marsden Park is seeking expressions of interest for the position of HSC Exam Centre Presiding Officer who will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the exam centre at our campus and for ensuring that the HSC examinations are conducted efficiently, and in keeping with the relevant NSW Educational Standards Authority (NESA) policies and procedures.

The Presiding Officer is employed by NESA. They will need to be available for the entire examination period (October 1- November 3, 2023).

About the Role

The Presiding Officer is required to:

• manage a group of HSC supervisors

- coordinate rosters for the examination period.
- liaise with the Head of Educational Operations of the College concerning the set up and conduct of the examinations
- follow all directions which have been given by the NESA in regards to security and administrative procedures
- brief the supervisors before each examination to ensure they are aware of their duties and special arrangements
- collect examination papers from the NESA Security Centre (offsite) and keep them secure until the commencement of the examination at the campus
- oversee the conduct of the supervisors during the examination and during the packing session at the conclusion of the examination
- ensure the policies and procedures for Special Provisions and illness and misadventure are followed
- have a good knowledge of the Child Protection procedures and emergency evacuation procedures.
