This is a fixed term contract until May 2026
Role Overview: The Operational Readiness Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring that new projects and initiatives are successfully transitioned from development to full operational status. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies, processes, and procedures that guarantee the operational readiness of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the operational readiness activities for Nyaal Banyul - Geelong Convention and Event Centre (GCEC).
- Develop and implement operational readiness plans, including training, documentation, and support.
- Coordinate with project managers, stakeholders, and teams to ensure seamless transition from project phase to operational phase.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with operational readiness.
- Conduct readiness assessments and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and regulations.
- Provide regular updates and reports on the status of operational readiness activities.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops to prepare teams for operational launch.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operational readiness, project management, or related roles.
- Strong operational awareness with a keen understanding of best practices.
- Proven experience in managing contracts and ensuring contractual obligations are met.
- PPP (Public-Private Partnership) experience is highly beneficial.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, driven, and capable of managing tasks unsupervised.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Experience with change management and risk assessment.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field.
- A can-do attitude and strong motivation.
- The ability to work autonomously with minimal direction.
